Get Fit Hacks: Find time to workout when you're busy

Everyone feels like there aren't enough hours in a day. 


I truly feel more alive when I get a workout in so I make it a non-negotiable. I have worked hard to make exercise a habit and I know you can to. 

Here are some easy hacks to fit in your fitness!

1. Squat while you brush: while you're brushing your teeth, do squats. Aim for 25 squats.

2. Commercial breaks: every time a commercial comes on, get moving.

3. Check in at the check out: while you stand in line at the grocery store do calf raises

4. Dance it out: put on some music and have a dance party

5. Sleep in your workout clothes: is working out in the morning on your agenda? Sleep in your workout clothes so you can skip a step in the morning

6. Pack workout clothes to bring to work: working out after work? Pack your workout clothes and change into them before you leave the office. Feeling creative? Wear your workout clothes to work! A pair of basic black yoga leggings and a tank can be layered under a dressy cardigan and a pair of boots. 

7. Find a buddy: enlist your friends to keep you on track. I have a daily group text with my workout friends. Whoever gets up first sends a morning message at 5:15 am. 

8. Laundry lunges: while you're waiting for the laundry to finish up its last few minutes of dry time, do lunges. 

9. Grab some weight: get creative, grab your kid, soup cans, water bottle, wine bottle...whatever and lift it! Squats with your kids makes them giggle, bicep curls with a wine bottle? Why not!

10. Commit to 5 minutes: make a commitment to do some kind of physical activity for just 5 minutes every day. Chances are, once you get that 5 minutes in and your endorphins get pumping, you'll continue on for longer.
