Superbowl, not Super Bulge: How to Stay on Track at Your Game Day Party

Super Bowl sunday, clean eating, fit mom, party survival, weight loss

The holidays are behind us, we've set our New Year's Resolutions to make this our healthiest year yet, and we're sticking to them! Right???

Well, now comes our first test of the New Year. Superbowl Sunday!

Whether you're a football fan or not, chances are you'll tune in to the big game with friends.

Superbowl Sunday is known for a few things:
-commercials
-half time show
-food
....oh, and the game!

So, what can you do to stay on track this year? With all the temptations it can be hard
Wings
Dips
Loaded chili
Beer

I've been scouring the web for some tips to help myself and my challengers stay on track this year and I came across some great ideas and recipes to add to my go-to tips.

As with any holiday or party....

1. hydrate! stay hydrated throughout the day. Aim to drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day (weigh 150 lbs? drink 75 ounces)
2. start your day with a workout--don't ever combine a rest day and a cheat day. Get your workout in first thing in the morning.
3. eat before you go-many people think they can skip meals throughout the day to 'save up' their calories....don't fall into this trap! you'll go to the party hungry (or hangry) and make bad choices
4. use a plate- when eating dips or appetizers, put them on a plate so you can SEE how much you're eating
5. shakeology- I drink shakeology EVERY DAY--it fills me up and reduces cravings

Here are some good sites I came across with recipes for the big day
