Protein Banana Pancakes








Who doesn't love pancakes for breakfast? But let's face it, they fall short in the nutrition department. I  was so excited to try this new recipe for protein banana pancakes because they really pack a punch!

In these fluffy hot stacks, you get a serving of fruit, protein, and complex carbohydrates! Best of all, you feel satisfied without feeling bloated or weighed down. 



Ingredients:

3 egg whites
1 banana 
1/3 cup quick oats
1 tbsp ground flaxseed (optional)
1 tsp vanilla
cinnamon and agave for topping if desired




Directions:

Add all ingredients to a blender and mix until you have a nice pancake consistency (add water if it looks too thick)
Spray a pan with cooking spray (I use Trader Joe's coconut oil spray)
Pour pancake batter onto pan
Flip when the batter starts to bubble around the edges
Serve alone or topped with agave, cinnamon, and fresh fruit.
